Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation Review and Swatches 05 Porcelain

The Vichy Dermablend Foundation is a foundation that I've wanted to try for absolutely ages! And when I saw it on offer in Boots, I bought it straight away. So lately my skin has been awful: Very red and rather reactive and also a little spotty (yuk!) but a bad mix of hormones and fast food have led to my skincare woes (I promise I will stop eating bad, erm soon! haha!) Anywho I digress: I was hoping that the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation would be the answer to my skin nightmares, so lets take a look shall we?  The first thing I was surprised and rather disappointed about was the shade: It was so dark: As you can see above, initially the swatches are almost orange! Had I bought the wrong shade: I checked the bottle: Nope, 05 Porcelain. Well their idea of Porcelain and my idea of Porcelain are very different! MAC Strobe Cream Mini Review

Strobing is something I'd never even heard of until I started watching Rupauls Drag Race a few years ago (in the Sharon Needles Era: AKA the good ol' days!) Strobing has been described as overdone highlighting: However strobing to me is not only highlighting certain facial features but also adding dimension and texture to the area too. Admittedly, its not something I would bother doing every day. But on special occasions I like to highlight my favourite features (usually my cheekbones)  I received the MAC Strobe Cream as a little try-out sample after buying too many lipsticks over on the MAC website.
