Mini Review: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer Review

I don't wear eyeshadow much at all anymore, but when I do, it is usually for a night out with my girlfriends, drinking and dancing the night away (not that I get a chance to do much of that anymore!)

So when I do got out I need I need to be sure that my makeup will last. I usually use a primer for my foundation (at the moment it is The Ordinary Silicone Primer, a review of which can be found here

I used to used the Urban Decay Shadow Primer, but when I received a free sample of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, I thought I would give it a go and see how it compares to my much loved Urban Decay alternative.

So what is it? 'According to the Too Faced Website this is a 'full-coverage insurance policy against eye shadow fading, creasing, and melting. The silicone-based eyeshadow primer transforms any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, colour-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly until you take it off'

Firstly, the packaging is without a doubt really cute: This is a sample size, but honestly you get loads, this will last probably the rest of my life haha! Mostly 'cos I don't get the chance to get dolled up and apply eyehshadow much anymore

Anywho, I apply a very small amount over my eye lids; the potion itself is actually a light rose gold colour, but doesn't show up as dark on the skin.

It has a very lightweight texture, that is easy to apply and dries quickly on application.

What I love about this most, is that not only does it make my eyeshadow last all night (even through dancing, drinking and lets face it, sweating!)  it also enhances the colours of my eye-shadow, making eyes stand out even further.

My eye shadow stays put all day (or all night) and doesn't crease. It doesn't affect the application of the eye shadow and it helps my oily lids too (you can even wear this alone to stop lids looking oily!)

The price is quite steap, but if you wear eyeshadow / eyeliner every day then this is worth every penny, so you don't end up looking a hot sweaty mess in this weather.

If your a member of the oily lid club, and your eyeshadow is all over the place at the end of the day, then this is the one for you.

MAC Strobe Cream Mini Review

Strobing is something I'd never even heard of until I started watching Rupauls Drag Race a few years ago (in the Sharon Needles Era: AKA the good ol' days!) Strobing has been described as overdone highlighting: However strobing to me is not only highlighting certain facial features but also adding dimension and texture to the area too. Admittedly, its not something I would bother doing every day. But on special occasions I like to highlight my favourite features (usually my cheekbones)  I received the MAC Strobe Cream as a little try-out sample after buying too many lipsticks over on the MAC website. I was pretty chuffed as I've wanted to try out the Strobe Cream for ages now!  MAC describe the Strobe Cream as 'a  moisturiser that boosts the look of dull skin and luminises with iridescent particles' So perfect for my tired skin that needs a bit of a boost!  I love the little packaging, in fact I would say I'm a bit obsessed with miniature ve...

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer Review

I'm obsessed with concealers, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one! I currently use the Nars Radiant Concealer ( Review Here ) for under my eyes and the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer for spots etc.  I recently purchased the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer as I'd read good reviews online and I wash hoping it might be a dupe for my trusty Nars Concealer.  Firstly there is one massive downside to this concealer: There are only THREE Shades! That just seems lazy! Especially in this day and age where you can purchase some concealers which have over 30 shades to choose from!  I have the shade 'Light' and for once, it is indeed actually Light! It's gorgeously pale (it may even be too pale for some people, so I would suggest swatching it next to the other shades if unsure)  It is specifically designed for the delicate eye area and it offers 24 hour hydration to the area around the eyes to offer hydration throughout the day, leaving eyes...

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil Review

An oil for your face? Yes, Yes, Yes! If you would have told me years ago, when I was a hormonal teenager with many breakouts to use oil on my face I would have laughed at you, but the Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil, has made such a difference to my skin, I am a complete oil convert.  I have quite red, sensitive, often sore skin and this calms it right down. Its deeply nourishing and hydrating. I've heard it described as a conditioner for the skin.  I usually use it a night when my skin is looking dry and frazzled. As you can see with the roller-ball application, you just roll it onto the skin (I swipe across each cheek and my forehead) and then gently massage into the skin. Its just such a gorgeous and luxurious feeling treat for the skin.  It has never broke me out and it has kept my skin feeling and looking a lot more luminous. It doesn't make my skin shinny and doesn't leave any kind of weird residue on the skin; leaving my skin feeling moisturised and l...
