Alpha H Liquid Gold Review

As you can probably tell from my Blog, I'm a bit of a skincare obsessive. I would absolutely love perfect porcelain skin; mostly so I could leave the house without make-up without feel so self-conscious.

I'm always on the look-out for the most highly recommended skincare products; and Alpha H Liquid Gold is without a doubt one of the most hyped beauty products out there!

So why is it such a skincare favourite?  It uses alpha hydroxy acids, which melt the 'glue' that binds dulling dead cells to skin's surface, revealing the healthy 'new' skin cells beneath. It stimulates cellular activity - accelerating repair and renewal.

It works hard to erase the visibility of acne scars, dark spots and brown patches, making skin look beautiful.

Because of the products hyper-ingredients you need to build up a skin tolerance (No it will not burn your skin off) The reason you do this is to minimise redness: So just use once a week, then the second week, use it twice and keep using it more and more, up to three times a week.

I simply apply this on a cotton bud, just before bed, three times a week. Then leave the treatment to work overnight to exfoliate and brighten the skin, meaning you wake up with much better looking skin than when you went to bed!

My oily skin absolute adores this magic liquid. It makes skin feel so soft and gorgeous. Its help dullen the pigmentation and a few acne scars from my teenage years.

I have very sensitive skin and my skin does not react to this what-so-ever. I do not use moisturiser after using this as prefer a more intense treatment (oh my!)  On application I personally do not notice any 'tingling' or sensitivity.

It leaves my skin feeling 'glowy' and super soft. It also helps to tighten the skin, resulting in smaller pores around the nose and chin. I can't honestly say that it helps with wrinkles (Although I'm 29 and simply refuse to believe I have any yet! Ha! I should be so lucky)

I've noticed that my makeup applies much better in the morning, when I've used this the night before: As it leaves skin feeling very smooth (no need to worry about exfoliation) and very, very soft.

I've now used this product three times a week for around three weeks: And how does my skin look now you ask: Well, my pores (especially the ones on my nose) and tighter and less visible. My acne scarring on my forehead has all-but disappeared! And my skin looks and feels much more refressed and 'glowy'

Can you tell I adore this product?

MAC Strobe Cream Mini Review

Strobing is something I'd never even heard of until I started watching Rupauls Drag Race a few years ago (in the Sharon Needles Era: AKA the good ol' days!) Strobing has been described as overdone highlighting: However strobing to me is not only highlighting certain facial features but also adding dimension and texture to the area too. Admittedly, its not something I would bother doing every day. But on special occasions I like to highlight my favourite features (usually my cheekbones)  I received the MAC Strobe Cream as a little try-out sample after buying too many lipsticks over on the MAC website. I was pretty chuffed as I've wanted to try out the Strobe Cream for ages now!  MAC describe the Strobe Cream as 'a  moisturiser that boosts the look of dull skin and luminises with iridescent particles' So perfect for my tired skin that needs a bit of a boost!  I love the little packaging, in fact I would say I'm a bit obsessed with miniature ve...

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer Review

I'm obsessed with concealers, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one! I currently use the Nars Radiant Concealer ( Review Here ) for under my eyes and the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer for spots etc.  I recently purchased the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer as I'd read good reviews online and I wash hoping it might be a dupe for my trusty Nars Concealer.  Firstly there is one massive downside to this concealer: There are only THREE Shades! That just seems lazy! Especially in this day and age where you can purchase some concealers which have over 30 shades to choose from!  I have the shade 'Light' and for once, it is indeed actually Light! It's gorgeously pale (it may even be too pale for some people, so I would suggest swatching it next to the other shades if unsure)  It is specifically designed for the delicate eye area and it offers 24 hour hydration to the area around the eyes to offer hydration throughout the day, leaving eyes...

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil Review

An oil for your face? Yes, Yes, Yes! If you would have told me years ago, when I was a hormonal teenager with many breakouts to use oil on my face I would have laughed at you, but the Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil, has made such a difference to my skin, I am a complete oil convert.  I have quite red, sensitive, often sore skin and this calms it right down. Its deeply nourishing and hydrating. I've heard it described as a conditioner for the skin.  I usually use it a night when my skin is looking dry and frazzled. As you can see with the roller-ball application, you just roll it onto the skin (I swipe across each cheek and my forehead) and then gently massage into the skin. Its just such a gorgeous and luxurious feeling treat for the skin.  It has never broke me out and it has kept my skin feeling and looking a lot more luminous. It doesn't make my skin shinny and doesn't leave any kind of weird residue on the skin; leaving my skin feeling moisturised and l...
