My Favourite Make-Up Removers

Is there anything better than after a long day at work, getting home, sitting down and taking your make-up off?

Honestly I love the feeling of clean fresh skin and as such I'm always looking for a make-up remover which can remove every inch of my foundation.

I need a make-up remover which is strong enough to remove waterproof make-up without making my eyes sore.

Over the years I've tried hundreds of make-up removers, but here are my Top 5:

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips
This is one of my recent discoveries, I find that it easily removes waterproof mascara with little effort. It doesn't make my eyes sore and it doesn't leave that strange oily residue on the skin, which you seem to get with some make-up removers. As you can see from the near empty bottle, this is my absolute favourite eye make-up remover. I usually follow this up with the Clinique Take the Day off Cleansing Balm.

Garnier Micellar Water
This is my go to make-up remover; it's such a great price (£5.00 for 400ml) It's an absolute bargain for such a good product! It not only removes all my foundation, but it also removes all my eye make-up too, without leaving any strange residue on the skin. It's great for my sensitive skin too, it leaves skin feeling soft and soothed.

La Roche-Posay Eye Make-Up Remover
When my eyes are feeling sensitive I use this as my go-to mascara remover. This is great for anyone who gets sensitive, sore eyes (the summer weather tends to trigger mine; not that we've had much of that!) It removes even bit of mascara without making my skin sore and without leaving any residue on the skin. My skin always feel really soft and purified after using this.

Garnier 2 in 1 Eye Make-Up Remover
I used this before I bought the Clinique Eye Make-Up Remover and although the Clinique Remover is more effective, this one is a great, cheaper alternative. This contains oil so you have to shake it before use, although it doesn't leave behind any oily residue on the skin. It's a great cheap eye make-up remover and leaves my eyes feeling soothed after use.

Estee Lauder Gentle Makeup Remover
This make-up remover is perfect for removing heavy eye-shadow and because it's oil free you can remove your current make-up and reapply without having to wash the product off in-between. This is great for stubborn eye make-up and because its so gentle its great to use just before bed.

Have you used any of these make-up removers?
What did you think?

MAC Strobe Cream Mini Review

Strobing is something I'd never even heard of until I started watching Rupauls Drag Race a few years ago (in the Sharon Needles Era: AKA the good ol' days!) Strobing has been described as overdone highlighting: However strobing to me is not only highlighting certain facial features but also adding dimension and texture to the area too. Admittedly, its not something I would bother doing every day. But on special occasions I like to highlight my favourite features (usually my cheekbones)  I received the MAC Strobe Cream as a little try-out sample after buying too many lipsticks over on the MAC website. I was pretty chuffed as I've wanted to try out the Strobe Cream for ages now!  MAC describe the Strobe Cream as 'a  moisturiser that boosts the look of dull skin and luminises with iridescent particles' So perfect for my tired skin that needs a bit of a boost!  I love the little packaging, in fact I would say I'm a bit obsessed with miniature ve...

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer Review

I'm obsessed with concealers, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one! I currently use the Nars Radiant Concealer ( Review Here ) for under my eyes and the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer for spots etc.  I recently purchased the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer as I'd read good reviews online and I wash hoping it might be a dupe for my trusty Nars Concealer.  Firstly there is one massive downside to this concealer: There are only THREE Shades! That just seems lazy! Especially in this day and age where you can purchase some concealers which have over 30 shades to choose from!  I have the shade 'Light' and for once, it is indeed actually Light! It's gorgeously pale (it may even be too pale for some people, so I would suggest swatching it next to the other shades if unsure)  It is specifically designed for the delicate eye area and it offers 24 hour hydration to the area around the eyes to offer hydration throughout the day, leaving eyes...

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil Review

An oil for your face? Yes, Yes, Yes! If you would have told me years ago, when I was a hormonal teenager with many breakouts to use oil on my face I would have laughed at you, but the Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil, has made such a difference to my skin, I am a complete oil convert.  I have quite red, sensitive, often sore skin and this calms it right down. Its deeply nourishing and hydrating. I've heard it described as a conditioner for the skin.  I usually use it a night when my skin is looking dry and frazzled. As you can see with the roller-ball application, you just roll it onto the skin (I swipe across each cheek and my forehead) and then gently massage into the skin. Its just such a gorgeous and luxurious feeling treat for the skin.  It has never broke me out and it has kept my skin feeling and looking a lot more luminous. It doesn't make my skin shinny and doesn't leave any kind of weird residue on the skin; leaving my skin feeling moisturised and l...
