Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream Review

Since becoming a mum, I have been constantly knackered so I'm always on the look out for a decent eye cream. I used to use the Origins Gin-Zing Eye Cream, which is one of my absolute favourite eye creams. However after receiving the Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream in a gift set at Christmas I thought I would see what its like.

I can honestly say that since Christmas I have used this every single day (and that is not an exaggeration)

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream has been formulated to brighten, refresh and hydrate the delicate eye area. Like a decents night sleep in a tube. This is perfect for busy people, who love fuss-free products. You can use this at any time of day (morning or evening) as well as before or after make-up, to give eyes a little refreshment throughout the day.

So does it work? Yup! I've found that it helps to make the area around my eyes look more awake and helps to reduce dark circles, puffiness and generally looking absolutely knackered. I've noticed it helps to reduce the puffiness around my eyes and makes me look a little more human in the mornings.

The product feels thick, but melts into the skin, leaving no residue and doesn't feel overwhelming on my sensitive eyes. I haven't noticed any reduction in lines around the eye area, however I do not think that is what this product is intended for. I have been using an eye serum at night in order to try and reduce the fine lines around my eyes.

The eye cream also contains Peptides, which support the natural collagen reserves to help the skin around the eye stay firm and looking youthful. Collagen Production is affected by stress, lack of sleep and age. So Basically I need all the help I can get!

For the price point of £22.50, it is actually quite a cheap(ish) eye cream. Honestly why are eye creams so expensive?! I would highly recommend this if your looking for a quick boost in the mornings to help reduce puffiness and make eyes look more awake.

The Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream is like a burst of hydration for the eye area, which leaves eyes feeling refressed and looking more awake.

If your looking for a new eye cream to defeat puffiness and dark circles then this is the one for you.

MAC Strobe Cream Mini Review

Strobing is something I'd never even heard of until I started watching Rupauls Drag Race a few years ago (in the Sharon Needles Era: AKA the good ol' days!) Strobing has been described as overdone highlighting: However strobing to me is not only highlighting certain facial features but also adding dimension and texture to the area too. Admittedly, its not something I would bother doing every day. But on special occasions I like to highlight my favourite features (usually my cheekbones)  I received the MAC Strobe Cream as a little try-out sample after buying too many lipsticks over on the MAC website. I was pretty chuffed as I've wanted to try out the Strobe Cream for ages now!  MAC describe the Strobe Cream as 'a  moisturiser that boosts the look of dull skin and luminises with iridescent particles' So perfect for my tired skin that needs a bit of a boost!  I love the little packaging, in fact I would say I'm a bit obsessed with miniature ve...

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer Review

I'm obsessed with concealers, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one! I currently use the Nars Radiant Concealer ( Review Here ) for under my eyes and the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer for spots etc.  I recently purchased the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer as I'd read good reviews online and I wash hoping it might be a dupe for my trusty Nars Concealer.  Firstly there is one massive downside to this concealer: There are only THREE Shades! That just seems lazy! Especially in this day and age where you can purchase some concealers which have over 30 shades to choose from!  I have the shade 'Light' and for once, it is indeed actually Light! It's gorgeously pale (it may even be too pale for some people, so I would suggest swatching it next to the other shades if unsure)  It is specifically designed for the delicate eye area and it offers 24 hour hydration to the area around the eyes to offer hydration throughout the day, leaving eyes...

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil Review

An oil for your face? Yes, Yes, Yes! If you would have told me years ago, when I was a hormonal teenager with many breakouts to use oil on my face I would have laughed at you, but the Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil, has made such a difference to my skin, I am a complete oil convert.  I have quite red, sensitive, often sore skin and this calms it right down. Its deeply nourishing and hydrating. I've heard it described as a conditioner for the skin.  I usually use it a night when my skin is looking dry and frazzled. As you can see with the roller-ball application, you just roll it onto the skin (I swipe across each cheek and my forehead) and then gently massage into the skin. Its just such a gorgeous and luxurious feeling treat for the skin.  It has never broke me out and it has kept my skin feeling and looking a lot more luminous. It doesn't make my skin shinny and doesn't leave any kind of weird residue on the skin; leaving my skin feeling moisturised and l...
